CREMER OLEO opens Latin America headquarters
The new Latin America headquarters will be headed by Roberto Echeverria. Born in Colombia, he has worked for the company since 2014 and most recently headed the successful glycerine business. "By establishing our own headquarters for Latin America, we are setting an example in this emerging region. We established our Brazilian oleo unit in 2019 and one year later it was the country's most successful glycerine exporter" says Echeverría. "We are currently involved in various industries on the continent, more projects will follow."
Business Unit Manager Christian Falck says "The regional control unit enables us to drive the growth course we have embarked on even more efficiently. Roberto Echeverría and his dedicated team will further expand the CREMER network. They bring the best prerequisites to link international business with local entrepreneurship."

CREMER has been investing in emerging markets around its portfolio since the beginning of its 75-year history. CREMER CEO Dr. Ullrich Wegner: "The new OLEO headquarter ideally complements the business of the other CREMER companies in the region."
Since 1973, for example, Peter Cremer do Brasil LTDA has been active in the import and export of soybean, grain and steel products. Cremer y Asociados S. A. in Argentina trades in beans, soybeans, corn and biodiesel. And Possehl Erzkontor, which belongs to the Group, is represented in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

Roberto Echeverría is responsible for setting up the new Latin America headquarters. Based in the Colombian capital Bogotá, he and his team coordinate all production, trade and logistics activities on the Latin American continent. They also procure Latin American goods for CREMER sites worldwide and act as a distribution arm to the Andean region.
